Red, white and blue snacks are a must for the 4th of July. We took our original 2 Ingredient Chocolate Bark recipe and made it perfect for the 4th.
This recipe is a must try and so fun to make. Our kids love to help decorate the chocolate bark.
Ingredients:
- Blue Candy Melts
- Red Candy Melts
- Red White and Blue M&M's
- White Chocolate Chips
- Red White and Blue Star Sprinkles
How to make Red White and Blue Bark:
- Line Baking Sheet – Line a large baking sheet with foil or parchment paper.
- Melt Chocolate – Next, melt the white chocolate chips by placing them in a microwave safe dish. Heat in the microwave using 20 second intervals, stirring between each interval until chips are completely melted.
- Melt rest of Chocolate – Follow the same process with the red and blue candy melts in separate bowls.
- Pour White Chocolate – Pour the white chocolate onto the baking sheet and use a spatula to spread the chocolate out as evenly as possible.
- Drizzle Red and Blue Chocolate – Then drizzle the red and blue candy melts on top of the chocolate layer. Rotate between each color so that it will swirl together easier.
- Swirl with a Fork – Use a fork to swirl the candy melts into the white chocolate on the baking sheet.
- Add the Sprinkles – Sprinkle the m&ms and the red white and blue candy sprinkles on top of the chocolate.
- Refrigerate – Place the bark in the refrigerator for 30-60 minutes to hardened.
- Break into Pieces – Remove the bark from the refrigerator and break into pieces to serve.
How to store Chocolate Bark?
Keep the chocolate bark in an airtight container in the fridge. Now you know how to keep chocolate candy bark from melting!
When ready to serve, take it out of fridge so it can get to room temperature for a few minutes if desired.
Variations to try with red white and blue bark:

4th of July Bark Tips:
- Since chocolate is the main ingredient, use a premium chocolate in this. It will taste much better!
- Allow the bark to come to room temperature before breaking so that the layers do not separate.
- If the bark is difficult to break with your hands you can use a wooden spoon to gently help.
- Use the parchment paper to help break this apart so that you don't get fingerprints on the chocolate.
How long will it last?
Chocolate bark will last up to 5 days if store properly. You can store at room temperature or in the refrigerator.

- 6 oz blue candy melts
- 6 oz red candy melts
- 1/2 red white and blue m&ms
- 1/2 cup red white and blue star sprinkles
